Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho is looking for a Business Process Analyst.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Process Analyst is responsible for the administration and support of the Council’s business processes. The analyst works closely with departments to define, document and maintain business processes and supporting procedures. Plans, designs, analyzes, develops, implements, and monitors business and program processes and systems. Evaluates systems’ functionality to identify gaps, assess options, implement solutions, and monitor effectiveness. Develops and delivers training.
 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:

Information Systems Management:

  • Identifies gaps in business processes, procedures or systems. Documents these gaps and works with GSUSA resources to identify and implement solutions.
  • In concert with business process owners, updates and maintains the Council’s business processes and procedures.
  • Assists departments in applying business processes, procedures and systems to new or changing needs.
  • Participates in the development of training materials with the business process owners and assists in conducting training and workshops in the use of new and existing business processes and supporting applications systems for the organization.
  • Provides strategic guidance and leadership on developing, training, and maintaining policies for data management including data entry, extraction, auditing and cleanup.
  • Works with senior management to identify and implement data/reporting needs related to strategic objectives.
  • Formulates short and long term department priorities in collaboration with the leadership team.

Database Management:

  • Develops standard reporting protocols and processes for generating reports.
  • Serves as a super user of business software applications, and serves as the first tier support, along with department super users and data administrator.   
  • Serves as the primary interface with GSUSA Tier 2 support for national applications. 
  • Resolves user questions and ensures submission of unresolved problems to Tier 2 support (GSUSA or local vendor, as appropriate).
  • Provides oversight for data quality and serves as the backup for the data administrator.
  • Ensures the Standard Operating Procedures Manual is updated when processes change.
  • Works with other members of staff on more complex tasks, such as campaign creation.
  • Provides statistical and management dashboard reports, efficiently supporting all department in their data and reporting needs.
  • Create and maintain end user reports as needed in Volunteer Systems, Info Scout and Cookie Database.
  • Assists in the creation and updating of detailed business and application procedures. Conducts user testing of new releases and functions in coordination with Volunteer Systems project and national systems support.
  • Tests processes, procedures and applications to ensure accurate results prior to production activation.
  • Analyzes key datasets to identify data trends.

Project Management:

  • Serves as the Project Lead on database migration efforts.
  • Creates project goals, objectives, and project timelines.
  • Monitors project progress, analyzes obstacles to implementation and works with leadership team to develop solutions.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
  • May be assigned to take a lead role for key business process transformation projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant course of study, and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in business processes and systems.
  • Business process expertise: Strong experience in business system analysis, and data analysis, testing methods, and business process and system requirement definition. Able to learn a variety of business software applications and guide users in establishing efficient and effective processes.
  • Business systems expertise: Experience with complex business systems (ERP, CRM, or similar). CRM user experience required, with Salesforce experience preferred. Advanced PC and MS Office skills required.
  • Project Management: Must have effective project management skills. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects while managing conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Technical Training: Ability to train people on business processes and systems use.
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurability preferred.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to pass background check.
  • Must be experienced in the use of computers including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook. CRM experience, especially Salesforce, desirable. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies with ability to understand the basic data quality principles and practice. Must be able to compile information and develop related reports, using council software.
  • Willingness to subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout movement, including acceptance of the Girl Scout philosophy and willingness to maintain membership in the Girl Scouts USA.
